Morag the sheep - a painting for Imbolc. This ancient Gaelic festival marks the half way point between the winter and spring equinoxes, a reminder that the wheels of spring and regrowth are in motion, even if we can't yet see them. However the seeds are stirring and lambs are growing, this sheep and her full tummy and snowdrop crown show hope for the new days to come. The original painting is done using acrylic gouache on black watercolour paper.
